We have had a very bitter experience in getting the latest Android versions. Though top Android handsets like Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S5 and Sony Xperia Z3 may get the new OS installed pretty soon, the same is not true about handsets that are not quite as expensive. Those handsets will take months to get the new version. The same is true about other updates that the Android versions get.

There is good news at least for Samsung Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 4 users. There are now credible info that Samsung’s flagship Galaxy S5 is going to get the latest Android 5 version as early as in December.

Initially, there were rumors that Galaxy S5 may take much longer to get Android 5.0 Lollipop. While it was said that Motorola, HTC and Sony handsets will get it earlier than Sammy devices, but now it seems that Sammy’s top handsets are also going to get it pretty soon.

There is no denying the fact that the new version takes Android to an all new level. It is the biggest Android update following Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. The new Android 5 version comes with many enticing features including material design, multiple device compatibility, lockscreen notifications, support for 64-bit processor along with file sharing through Android Beam. There are rumors that the new Android 5 version will also improve the battery life of the same old Galaxy S5 substantially.
